  1. The blur motion photograph does excellent job showing a subject in motion. I believe the monochromatic red colors filling the framing bring a sense of cohesion to the composition. It also evokes feelings of chaos. The figure that is used as the focal point in the photograph is used nicely as a guide for navigating through the rest of the image. The photograph makes great use of shapes as well, whether it be from the figure itself or the lights and shadows emitted from the blur. One area that could be improved upon is the amount of focus in the photograph. There is quite a limited amount of elements in the photograph that are actually in focus. I think adding more focus would be beneficial in displaying what is moving and what is not in the photo. In the photograph for pan motion, it does show the subject frozen in motion. However, the area which surrounds the subject is very in focus. I believe a way to improve the pan motion image would be to create a background which is more out of focus and blurred so that it is able to show that the camera is moving as well as the subject. The reflections of the lights on each side of the photograph bring a symmetrical balance to the image. The white piece in the bottom left-hand corner is a bit of a visual distraction to me and takes away from the subject/focal point. The point of view of the photograph is really interesting and I believe could be enhanced if you were to reframe the image, so the entire figures body is included. The freeze motion photograph depicts the subject’s movement well. I think the shadows on the ground are an added benefit and help show where the figure is going. The red sign in the upper right-hand corner is a bit visually distracting to me. I think if the red sign was not inside the frame it would allow the eye to focus more on the focal point of the photograph. The white shoes of the figure are effective in leading the eye to the figure’s movement. The change in tiles on the floor from dark to light help lead the eye across the photograph. I also found the use of pattern in this photograph very intriguing. The two legs of the figure and the two lines of the doors in the background demonstrate their similarity as well as expressing repetition within the image.
